Open invitation at the Installer Show

As the transition to low-carbon heating accelerates and the demand for skilled engineers continues to rise, the construction and engineering industries are facing a critical skills gap. That is why creating a more inclusive and diverse workforce has never been more important.

The future of the HVAC industry depends on attracting new talent, supporting different perspectives, and ensuring everyone feels welcome in the conversation.

That’s why Mitsubishi Electric is proud to have created a special networking lunch celebrating Women in Engineering Day that everyone is welcome to join at the NEC on Tuesday the 23rd June at 1:30pm.

If you’re passionate about improving diversity in engineering – this event is for you.

Open and inclusive

We’ve designed this to be an open and inclusive event designed to bring the industry together, share experiences, and inspire positive change across the sector.

Taking place on Tuesday 23 June at 1:30pm at the NEC, this event is about far more than recognition. It’s about supporting the existing and the next generation of talent in engineering and construction, championing a culture where people from all backgrounds can thrive.

Importantly, this is not an event exclusively for women. Whether you work in engineering, lead a business, mentor apprentices, support a friend or family member in the industry, or simply believe in building a stronger and more inclusive sector — you are welcome.

Real progress happens when everyone is part of the discussion.

Networking event

Hosted by Charlotte Lee, Chief Executive of the Heat Pump Association, the relaxed, networking lunch will feature honest and inspiring stories from Mitsubishi Electric professionals, sharing their real-life experiences and personal journeys within engineering and manufacturing.

Attendees will also hear from special guest speaker Grace Deane, who will offer a unique perspective on balancing a dual career in STEM and professional women’s rugby — highlighting resilience, opportunity, and the importance of representation in traditionally male-dominated industries.

A commitment to inclusion

The event also reflects Mitsubishi Electric’s long-standing commitment to inclusion, diversity, and supporting talent across the industry.

This commitment extends beyond engineering and into wider community partnerships, including our sponsorship of Professional Women’s Rugby — reinforcing the company’s belief in empowering women, creating opportunities, and championing high performance both on and off the field.

As one of the leading HVAC manufacturers in the UK, Mitsubishi Electric recognises that solving the skills shortage requires investment in people. From training and education to advocacy and mentorship; which is why all attendees will also qualify for free training at our head office training centre.

Join Mitsubishi Electric in the Piazza Suite at the InstallerSHOW and be part of the movement driving positive change across engineering and construction.

Everyone is welcome.
