Reducing our Emissions

Mitsubishi Electric has set targets for Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions in the entire value chain by 2050 and medium-term Scope 1 and 2 emission reduction targets in line with SBTi 1.5 degree pathway for factories and offices by 2030.

As a global manufacturer, Mitsubishi Electric have a responsibility to reduce the negative impacts of our business on the environment. Our Environmental Sustainability Vision 2050 presents our long-term environmental planning, and we have set emissions reductions targets in line with the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). Raising the standard

Delivering training and education

Our award-winning trainers have helped to deliver courses to thousands of engineers, delivered at our many site locations or online. We have also developed an extensive library of more than 100 free CPD-certified guides to legislation, aspects of sustainability and new technologies. Mitsubishi Electric also sponsors the BESA Academy, providing training courses on the latest technical issues, such as F-Gas Certification.

Award-winning initiatives

We are delighted to announce the ‘On the Road to Net Zero’ Roadshows have been awarded the Customer Initiative of the Year at the RAC Cooling Industry Awards 2023.

The seminars were part of an 18-month-long campaign spanning the length of the UK where we focused on decarbonising buildings ‘On the Road to Net Zero’, discussing what this shift entails for each region, the future of offices, decarbonising heating and the digital future of HVAC.
