· Independent research places Mitsubishi Electric heat pumps at the top of key installer measures including trust, reliability, recommendation and quality
Mitsubishi Electric has been recognised by UK air source heat pump installers as the country's most trusted air source heat pump manufacturer, according to new independent market research conducted among senior decision-makers responsible for specifying and installing heat pump systems across the UK.
The research, which surveyed 300 senior decision-makers from companies actively installing air source heat pumps, found that Mitsubishi Electric outperformed competing manufacturers across a range of key brand perception measures.
Among those surveyed, Mitsubishi Electric ranked first for:
- The UK's most trusted air source heat pump manufacturer
- An air source heat pump brand that you can rely on to do the job well
- An air source heat pump manufacturer that installers would recommend
- The market leader in air source heat pumps in the UK
- Manufacturing the highest quality air source heat pumps
- Providing industry-leading training
- Being the easiest air source heat pump to install
The study also found that Mitsubishi Electric was the most widely installed air source heat pump brand among installers surveyed and was the manufacturer most frequently selected as the brand they install most often.
In addition, Mitsubishi Electric emerged as the manufacturer most likely to be considered for future installations, reinforcing its position as a preferred partner for installers operating in the UK's rapidly growing heat pump market.

The research highlighted reliability as Mitsubishi Electric's strongest attribute, with more installers identifying the company as "an air source heat pump brand that you can rely on to do the job well" than any other manufacturer. Installers also ranked product quality, reliability and durability as the most important factors when selecting a heat pump manufacturer, underlining the importance of performance and dependability in the sector.
Conducted by independent agency Alchemy Research, the study was completed across two waves of fieldwork between May 2025 and February 2026 and included installers working across residential and commercial projects throughout the UK.
