Heating a 13-bedroom, Georgian country house in Shropshire with oil was costing a small fortune for the owners, who were also limited on what they could do to the Grade II Listed building.

The Requirement
The historic building needed a sustainable and cost-effective heating system that could work in tandem with the existing oil boiler and ensure that the house is heated in the most economical way possible.
The Solution
Three 11kW Ecodan heat pumps work in a cascade system to respond accurately to the heating requirements of the home, controlling the oil if necessary and also qualifying for payments under the Renewable Heat Incentive
