Good indoor air quality

Better Breathing

We spend around 92% of our lives indoors where the levels of pollutants can be up to 5 times higher than they are outdoors, so effective filtration of incoming air is essential

Moisture Control

Lossnay recovers both latent heat (humidity/moisture) and sensible heat (temperature) to offer more efficient heat transfer

Fewer Allergens

Modern ventilation systems will filter out dust and allergens to deliver comfortable fresh air

Lower Energy Costs

Lossnay can transfer up to 80% of heat energy from the outgoing stale air into the fresh air supply minimising the energy needed to bring the fresh air up to room temperature

Improved Wellbeing

Continually refreshing the internal air makes it easier to concentrate in office environments and helps improve wellbeing

Why choose Mitsubishi Electric?

Poor indoor air quality can be attributed to many problems in a building such as dampness, rot and mould. Pollutants are also known to be a major cause of damaging health issues such as asthma and eczema. Stale air is also believed to lead to a loss in productivity and low morale.

According to the Building Research Establishment (BRE), exposure to air pollutants depends a lot on our exposure to indoor air and when we spend an estimated 90 per cent of our time inside buildings, we need to ensure these environments are fresh and comfortable.

It is a sobering fact that around 92% of our day is now spent indoors, so it’s vitality important that we recognise that indoor air quality (IAQ) has a major effect on our overall welfare.

At Mitsubishi Electric we’ve been working with the Building Engineering Services Association (BESA) to provide the general public with an informative guide to improving IAQ in all different types of buildings. It’s great to be able to say that our joint work on what is now a subject of unprecedented public interest has recently been endorsed by high profile child health campaigner and World Health Organisation advocate Rosamund-Adoo Kissi-Debrah.

Feel free to download the guide and please pass it on to your customers or keep for reference, we hope you find it useful.

The demand for clean indoor air and improved energy efficiency in increasingly airtight buildings has caused a surge in demand for mechanical ventilation.

With tougher building regulations and legislation, along with concern over the spread of serious virus', a ventilation system that is both effective at bringing in fresh air and also highly energy efficient is now top of the requirements for architects, installers and occupants.

Introducing the new residential Lossnay

The residential Lossnay range of Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) units create an environment of constant clean and healthy air at home.

Designed to be as quiet as possible these systems are designed to continuously extract from bathrooms, kitchens, toilets, and utility rooms where air can become polluted with high humidity, fumes, and chemicals on a regular basis.

Key benefits include:

  • Ultra quiet noise levels
  • Optional particulate matter filer, including NOx filtration
  • Full summer bypass function and cloud control
  • Digital controller included for ease of commissioning and use

LOSSNAY CORE

80%

The technology behind the energy efficiency of the Lossnay range lies in the construction of the paper core, which enables exchange of both latent heat (humidity/moisture) and sensible heat (temperature).

The Lossnay core is capable of transferring up to 80% of heat energy from the outgoing stale air into the fresh air supply, to minimise the energy needed to bring the fresh air up to room temperature. This unique core is utilised within both Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery systems and Air Handing Units.

30%

By ultilising recoverable energy, Lossnay is able to save upto 30% on the capital outlay by reducing the heating and cooling loads within an occupied commercial space. In domestic spaces Lossnay units can be wall mounted or installed in ceiling spaces enabling a fresh, clean and healthy internal environment to be maintained whilst reducing heating and cooling costs.
