Mitsubishi Electric has announced that it has simplified the warranty process for both heating installers and homeowners for all domestic Ecodan air source heat pumps under 20kW.

Mitsubishi Electric already guarantees that all of its domestic heating products will be free from defects for at least three years, and that the company will put things right in the unlikely event that anything does go wrong with the equipment.

From 1 May 2015, the company has introduced changes to improve the support offered to Accredited Installers and also enable them to extend the warranty on the Ecodan outdoor unit to seven years. 

Mitsubishi Electric already has one of the most accessible technical helpdesks in the industry and the move is part of the company’s continued drive to simplify the process for installers if any repairs or parts are ever required. 

“We have simplified both paperwork and parts ordering to make life easier for Accredited Installers”, explains Graham Temple, Marketing Manager for the company’s range of heating products.

In addition to the changes targeted at heating engineers, the company has set up a dedicated Homeowner Helpline, 0161 866 6064, to assist with any enquiries from customers and has also created dedicated homeowner pages on its website to explain how the system works for customers.
